About me

I studied Biological Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and then I did my PhD at the Clinical Pharmacology Service of the Hospital Universitario de La Princesa. My PhD focused on the area of Pharmacogenetics, that is, the search for genetic markers that help us to predict the response to a treatment, and since then it has been my line of research in the different centers where I have worked (Karolinska Institutet, Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago, University of Manchester and Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de la Fundación Jiménez Díaz). Currently, I am a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the San Pablo CEU University, which has allowed me to combine research with teaching. When I have free time I love to enjoy my family, friends and music.
