About me

Marta Garcés Rimón holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She completed her doctoral thesis at the Institute of Food Science Research (CSIC), earning a "Cum Laude" with international mention. Marta expanded her doctoral training at URJC and UCM, as well as at the Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht and Maastricht University (Netherlands). In 2017, she joined the Francisco de Vitoria University as a lecturer in the Gastronomy and Pharmacy programs, where she is also the Principal Investigator of the "Innovation in Foods and Functional Ingredients" research group. Throughout her career, Marta has participated in over 10 competitive projects, resulting in numerous high-impact publications and four patents, two of which are licensed and commercialized. She holds 2 research sexenios and two Docentia recognitions. Since 2020, she has been a co-founder and CEO of the spin-off I Like Food Innovation S.L.
