The activity addresses the issue of water pollution, focusing on two types of pollutants: hydrocarbons and nanoplastics. Hydrocarbons, which can come from oil spills or other industrial sources, pose a threat to aquatic ecosystems. On the other hand, nanoplastics, extremely small particles of plastic, present additional challenges due to their size and potential impact on the food chain. The aim is to develop strategies and technologies to combat these pollutants, thus protecting water quality. It seeks to raise awareness of the importance of addressing this environmental problem and to promote innovative solutions to mitigate its impacts. These actions are carried out within the REGENEDAR and EMULREM projects.
