Permanent magnets are increasingly present in our daily lives and in high-tech products and products related to the ecological transition: electric cars, wind turbines, magnetic resonances, etc. However, current permanent magnets present problems of sustainability and adaptability, which make alternatives necessary. This microtalk will address these and other problems, discussing the role of magnets in various technologies, their problems and what we can do to solve them. The participating researcher is Alonso José Campos Hernández (IMDEA Nanoscience).
