I studied chemical engineering in Italy and now I am predoctoral researcher in the thermochemical process unit at IMDEA Energy, where I’m studying the recovery of plastic waste that currently cannot be recycled mechanically due to the presence of specific additives, used to improve the properties of the material, which can be dangerous to health and the environment if not managed properly.

These plastics can be recovered by pyrolysis, a thermochemical process that consists in heating in the absence of oxygen to break down the waste and obtain a liquid product, which can be used as a fuel or to obtain valuable chemicals. My hobbies are drawing, reading (especially fantasy), taking care of plants, especially my carnivorous plants and playing video games..
