About me
I’m a PhD student in the Thermochemical Processes Unit of IMDEA Energy. I studied chemical engineering in Italy, with a master degree in Process Engineering for Energy and Environment. My research work focuses on the catalytic co-pyrolysis of biomass and non-edible vegetable oils to produce renewable fuels and chemicals of industrial interest. The objective is to valorize forestry and agricultural residues to obtain products which nowadays are produced from fossil oil. Catalytic pyrolysis is a process in which the biomass is submitted to high temperatures in the absence of oxygen to decompose its biopolymers and macromolecules, transforming them into more valuable liquid hydrocarbons thank to the use of novel catalysts.
I like outdoor activities in general, I practice climbing and archery, but I also enjoy reading a lot of books, and playing videogames with my friends.
