Marina Rodríguez Carreiro
About me
I studied Biotechnology at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and I specialized in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Currently, I am working at the Center for Biological Research – Margarita Salas (CSIC), in the Polymer Biotechnology group, improving and scaling up the polyhydroxyalkanoates production (bacterial bioplastics) for the European project PROMICON (Harnessing the Power of Nature Through Productive Microbial Consortia in Biotechnology - Measure, Model, Master).
When I leave the lab I really like to enjoy the environment, discover new places, or do different sports. Moreover, I have studied piano for eight years and I like to devote some of my free time to music, which is one of my favorite hobbies.
