Valle Palomo
About me
Valle obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in 2008 and in that year he joined the Institute of Medical Chemistry of the CSIC with Prof. A. Martínez to develop neurogenic and neuroprotective drugs for neurodegenerative diseases. In 2012 she obtained her PhD and in 2013 she joined the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla with Prof. P. Dawson. She focused on the development of Quantum Dot nanoparticles and the synthesis and conjugation of peptides. In 2016 she returned to Spain as a Juan de la Cierva fellow at the CSIC Biological Research Center. In 2018 she created her own research group thanks to a Junior Leader grant from la Caixa. In 2021 he moved her laboratory to IMDEA Nanociencia and is now responsible for the Biosensors laboratory in neuroscience. In her spare time, she loves to take walks in nature and travel to discover new places.
