Clara Gómez Cruz is a PhD student in the Biomedical Science and Technology program at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Previously, she studied Biomedical Engineering at the same university, where she also worked for a year as a research technician developing microfluidic devices. After this experience, she studied an MSc in Microfluidics at the Institute Pierre Gilles de Gennes in Paris. After returning to Spain, her current research focuses on understanding the effect of mechanical stimulation during different processes of the central nervous system such as traumatic brain injury or cancer using magnetoactive polymers.
