Sara Garzón Hernández
About me
Sara Garzón Hernández is an Industrial Engineer and a doctor in Mechanical Engineering with international mention from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Her research activity has focused on 3D printing of different materials, especially polymers, developing both experimental methodologies and analytical and numerical models. In the previous two years, she has done a postdoc at the University of Oxford, where she developed numerical tools for the simulation of 3D printing processes in metals. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Continuum Mechanics and Structural Analysis at UC3M and participates in the European project 4D-BIOMAP led by Dr. Daniel García González (UC3M). This project is focused on the development of magneto-active polymers and their application in the field of Biomedicine. Her hobbies include cooking, especially baking, reading, and traveling.
