Stefano Discetti is a full professor in the Aerospace Engineering research group at the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M). He obtained his doctorate in aerospace engineering from the Universitá degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in 2013. His main research interests lie in the area of experimental aerodynamics, in particular in techniques for optical measurement of turbulent flows and in methods for model and control their behavior. He is principal investigator of the NEXTFLOW – Next-generation flow diagnostics for control project, funded by the European Research Council within the framework of the prestigious Starting Grants, in which he develops new tools to measure turbulent flows using artificial intelligence methods. In his free time he likes to enjoy his family, travelling and hiking.
