I am Laura Marcos, a researcher in the host-microbiota interactions line at IMDEA Alimentación. My main interest is to study how the microbiota - the set of microorganisms that live in our body - changes in certain diseases, and how we can take care of it through diet and lifestyle changes to improve our health. I combine laboratory work with bioinformatics analysis. When I'm not doing research I like to be outdoors with my dogs, running in the mountains, mushroom hunting and in summer diving.
