My name is Amalia, I studied Chemistry and then did a Master's in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. I have always liked laboratory work so when I had the opportunity to start a PhD in the Photonic Nanomaterials and Devices group, I was delighted to accept. I am currently dedicated to the synthesis of luminescent nanomaterials to later study their optical properties.
In my free time I like to cook, basically the kitchen is just another laboratory full of chemical reactions. I also like to travel, visit new places; and whenever I can I take the opportunity to take walks through nature.
