I am a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the area of Plant Physiology. My research is focused on the search of new active ingredients with pharmacological activity isolated from plants. Since I was a child, the world of laboratory and research has been exciting to me. I consider myself a scientific "gossip", since I love to know what happens and why things happen in the fields in which I research. The feeling of bringing the University closer to the world and real problems, even minimally, seems to me one of the most important aspects of research.
Teaching, and research leave little free time in my life, but I love reading, going to the movies and traveling. Those are my favorite hobbies, because when it comes to sports, unfortunately I practice little exercise. I like the pool and the beach, so when the good weather starts I practice some swimming.
