About me
I am a doctor in Geological Sciences and Professor of Stratigraphy at the Complutense University of Madrid. My research focuses on Climate Change from the holistic perspective of Earth Sciences. I coordinate a multidisciplinary group of scientists working on the reconstruction of past climate changes based on geological indicators, such as sediments and speleothems (cave formations). It is exciting work, because knowing these changes, and their causes and consequences, is key to understand the current climate crisis. In addition, I teach subjects on Climate Change, Paleoclimatology and Coastal Dynamics, and I am the author of the books “Cambios Climáticos. Una aproximación al sistema Tierra” (1999, Ed. Libertarias - Profhufi), and “Memorias de un Clima Cambiante” (2020, Shackleton Books).
