I am Marta Mª González Barrios, current PhD student in the research group: "Preparation, Characterisation and Properties of Non-Molecular Inorganic Solids" at the Complutense University of Madrid. My doctoral thesis research is focused on the preparation, characterisation and optimisation of materials prepared by "Green Chemistry" methods for energy applications. Specifically, I have experience in working with metal chalcogenides prepared by both traditional and "soft chemistry" methods. The study of the electrochemical and thermoelectric properties of these materials is aimed at their application in energy storage and conversion systems in order to achieve a society based on a more sustainable energy system.
