Víctor Durán Egido
About me
My name is Víctor Durán Egido and I am a PhD student in the research group Preparation, Characterisation and Properties of Non-Molecular Solids at the Complutense University of Madrid. My research areas include solid state chemistry, materials science and electrochemistry. My work focuses on the development of new metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with interesting magnetic, electrical and electrochemical properties for their subsequent use as electrodes in metal-ion batteries. In the study of these materials, operational or in-situ techniques (XRD, Mössbauer, Raman, etc.) are applied during the operation of the battery, which allow us to relate their redox processes to changes in the crystal structure or in the oxidation states of the metal and the ligand. These materials will play a key role in the green transition, given their application in energy storage devices and their synthesis under mild conditions.
