Pilar García Díaz
About me
Pilar García Díaz was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1972. She graduated in Telecommunications Engineering in 2001 at the Polytechnic University in Madrid and obtained her Ph.D. in Telecommunications in 2014
at Alcalá University in Madrid. She has been an Associate Professor at the Signal Theory & Communications Department in the Polytechnic School of the University of Alcalá since 2003. Her teaching lines are electronic circuits and digital communications. She has broad experience in academic and applied research in computer sciences. Her specific research fronts are Machine learning and evolutionary computation methods for solving optimization, classification and regression problems applied in Engineering and Health Sciences. Her thesis dealt with metaheuristic algorithms applied to mobile communication networks deployment. She has published more than 60 papers journals and conferences. She currently participates in the review process of 15 international scientific journals about her researching fields.
