I am a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering and full professor at the University of Alcalá, currently I am also head of the Department of Electronics. I started my teaching career in January 1990 in the same department where I am now. I have taught subjects related to sensing, data acquisition and processing, control, power and digital systems. My research work has covered mobile robotic systems (positioning and guidance), sensing systems, data acquisition, control and power. Currently my research is focused on electrical energy management and optimization of production systems and safety in railway transportation. I am fond of mountain biking and choral music, activities that I practice on a regular basis.
