Alicia Ruiz Marín
About me
Alicia Ruiz obtained the Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Superior School of Experimental Sciences and Technology (ESCET) at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC). During the 2021-2022 academic year, she studied a MSc in Chemical Science and Technology at the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in the "Nanoscience and Nanomaterials" modality. Since October 2022, she joined the MINYNANOTECH research group ("Miniaturization and analytical nanotechnologies”) belonging to the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the University of Alcalá (UAH), where she currently works through a research contract of the RESEARCH PROGRAM of the Autonomous Community of Madrid (CAM). Her research is oriented towards the development of electrochemical approaches based on miniaturized analytical devices for the detection of biomarkers of clinical interest related to Alzheimer's disease and Sepsis, for which various low-cost manufacturing technologies are explored for the development of these devices. She has recently obtained a scholarship for the Training of Research Personnel (FPI) from the Community of Madrid, for which she will continue her research by carrying out her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Escarpa within the group in the 2023-2024 academic year.
