February 11 marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a date proclaimed by the United Nations to highlight the fundamental role of women in the scientific and technological world.
At the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), we join the celebration of 11F every year with activities designed to inspire, educate, and raise awareness about the importance of promoting the full participation of women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). From interactive workshops and lectures to round tables and networking events, our initiatives aim to bring science closer to students and the wider public, breaking stereotypes and fostering scientific vocations from an early age.
