About me

I have a degree in Biology. I am currently doing my PhD at the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid on how climate change and infectious diseases, such as chytridiomycosis, affect tropical amphibians. I have focused on studying their impact on several species found in a reserve in the Southern Andes of Colombia, La Planada. We are studying how amphibian diversity and ecology has changed over time at this site, to see if it is related to climatic variations and infection by the pathogenic fungus that causes this disease (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis). On the other hand, I am passionate about going to the countryside to go hiking and staying up at night to look for amphibians. I love to draw, enjoy music, dance, read, travel where there is a lot of jungle, and above all play volleyball every Wednesday.
