Elizabeth Lucía Valeriano Lorenzo
About me
My name is Elizabeth Valeriano Lorenzo, and I am a psychologist who graduated from the National University of San Marcos (Lima, Peru). I specialized in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), and during that time, my interest in research was sparked while working at the Epilepsy Surgery Unit. Upon returning to Lima, I worked at the Peruvian Institute of Neurosciences and the National Rehabilitation Institute, focusing on topics such as Alzheimer's disease. In 2017, I moved to Madrid to begin a Master's in Research Methodology in Behavioral Sciences at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and I collaborated with the FCIEN Foundation to complete my Master’s thesis, which addressed the topic of cognitive reserve in older adults. I am currently developing my doctoral thesis at the Autonomous University of Madrid, focused on improving methodologies and statistical techniques to test the longitudinal change of dynamic phenomena, such as human cognition. With my research, I aim to answer questions like, "How does cognition evolve in older adults with and without brain pathology?"
I love data analysis, traveling, hiking, pisco sour, and Peruvian cuisine.
