Ignacio José Villar García
About me
Dr. Ignacio José Villar García is an assistant professor at San Pablo CEU University and works in the Solid State and Materials Group (ESYMAT), which focuses on synthesizing inorganic materials for metal-ion batteries. His contribution to the group focuses on the molecular-level understanding of the performance of new materials. To this end, he performs advanced characterization studies in laboratory and synchrotron facilities.
Ignacio has more than 15 years of experience in the advanced characterization of different systems of technological relevance, from catalysis to sensors, both in scientific laboratories and synchrotron facilities. Ignacio did his PhD at the University of Nottingham and has worked in institutions and technology centers such as IMDEA Energy, Imperial College London, and the ALBA Synchrotron particle accelerator. In addition, he was a lecturer in the Faculty of Chemistry at Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) for two years.
His interests include travel and climbing, and if you can combine the two things better.
