Ilaria Sorrentino
About me
Ilaria Sorrentino holds a PhD in molecular medicine from the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (Milan, Italy). Her PhD thesis was based on characterising the protein channels used by hydrogen peroxide to cross different cell membranes. She is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Bioengineering at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Her EU-funded RedOXFluxMAP project aims to characterise the influence of hydrogen peroxide on skin development in 2D and 3D cellular models. Her hobbies include reading, travelling and playing volleyball.
