About me

I have been with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M) since 2002, currently serving as a Full Professor. I love teaching electrical engineering subjects and having fun tinkering in the High Voltage Laboratory. There, I spend my time developing setups for designing high-frequency inductive sensors. I gather data from these sensors and explore what interesting insights I can uncover to enhance the safety and integrity of people and equipment. Now, much of my time is devoted to HECATE, a European project in which I am principal investigator and in which I collaborate with Airbus Defence and Space to design the electrical system for future hybrid electric aircraft. In my spare time, I love hitting the mountain biking trails nearby and spending quality time with my family.
