About me

With a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering, Ana García Armada is a full professor in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and head of the Communications Group at the same university. She develops her research activity in the field of mobile communications, having directed several national and international projects. Her research has resulted in nine book chapters and more than 250 publications in international journals and conferences, as well as four patents. She has carried out research stays at leading centres such as Stanford University and Bell Labs, among others. She has received an Excellence Award from the Social Council and a Best Teaching Practices Award from UC3M, as well as the third Bell Labs Innovation Award 2014. She is a Fellow of the IEEE. In her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music, dancing, going to the cinema, theatre and concerts, as well as being passionate about travelling.
