Alvaro is an aerospace engineer specialized in computational analysis and machine learning at The CT Engineering Group, where he works in the optimization of aerospace components and structures using artificial intelligence methodologies. He is also an MSCA postdoctoral researcher at the department of aerospace engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, developing machine learning methods to improve the prediction of severe weather phenomena. Alvaro holds two master degrees in aerospace engineering (Universidad de Sevilla and Technische Universität München) with specialization in aerodynamics, aircraft and spacecraft design, and orbital control. After working at SII Deutschland GmbH, he completed a PhD in physics of fluids at Universiteit Twente and a subsequent postdoctoral period at MIT. Throughout his career, he has taught several courses, led research groups, participated in national and international conferences, and published one book and 15 journal articles. He is a history lover and in his spare time, he studies a bachelor in Geography and History at UNED.
