My name is Marcel, I’m Polish, and I’ve been living in Madrid for 6 years already. I am a biotechnology student at Universidad Politéctnica de Madrid (UPM). The subjects that have intrigued me the most so far are molecular genetics, microbiology, and cell culture. In September 2023, I helped with the organization of the International Microbiology Day at the ESTIAAB of UPM. Since I was 11, I´ve been playing basketball until 2023. In 2022, my team won the Madrid Championship in my category (U22). Besides doing sports, I enjoy reading literature classics, poetry (I also write my own poems), and cooking for my family and friends. From time to time, I read scientific papers from the fields in which I am interested in order to expand my knowledge of the contents of the lectures.
