I am Esteban Manrique Reol, Doctor in Biology, currently retired and 'Ad Honorem' Professor, which allows me to remain linked to the RJB-CSIC. I participate in several research projects to study the coevolution of plants and soil microorganisms, to investigate whether there is some type of selection between them. I am also developing a project at the Royal Botanical Garden to assess the capacity of the trees in the Garden's collection to adapt to climate change and their ecosystem services. I am fond of music, I sing in a choir, and classical ballet. I also practice swimming and hiking.
