I am María Isabel Sánchez Pérez, PI of the METCAN group, a research group focused on chromosomal instability and tumorigenesis at the IIBm; and Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry (UAM). When I have free time I love to travel around the world discovering new places, culture and people, as well as gastronomy! I really enjoy finding restaurants I didn't know and trying new dishes. Other hobbies I have in my free time are gardening, hiking and reading as they allow me to disconnect from work.
