Area of work: History of Republican Rome from postcolonial and gender perspectives. I study how Rome controlled the Mediterranean in the III-II centuries BC through privileged cities. I am interested in how their population was formed, what was their civic identity, what was their relationship with Rome and what were the reasons why Rome gives them privileges. I work on the interactions between the Romans, the Greeks, the Punics and other autochthonous peoples.

Hobbies and hobbies. I love traveling, reading, learning modern Greek, cheering for Rome and American sports (football, field hockey, baseball, basketball).
