About me

I am Associate Professor accredited by ANECA and director of the Department of Education Degrees at the University of San Pablo CEU (Madrid). I did a research stay at the University of Twente (Amsterdam), where I was a guest lecturer for 4 months to work and teach about inclusion in Science-Informatics classrooms in the year 2021. I have been a recipient of the Erasmus grant on three occasions: in 2022 to teach a master’s degree in Universal Design for Learning at the University of Twente (The Netherlands); in 2023 at the University of Applied Sciences (Amsterdam); and semester research at the University of Alameda (Lisbon) thanks to a grant awarded by the San Pablo CEU Foundation (1/04/2023-6/10/2023).

As a researcher, I have held the Joaquim Molins Figueras Chair in Child and Family Care Policies from 2010 to 2024. I have taught on the bachelor’s degree in education, master’s degree in Secondary Teacher Training and Professor of Pedagogy at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR, from 2013 to 2020). I obtained a master’s degree in Inclusive Education from the University of Vic in 2017, a PhD from the International University of Catalonia in 2010 and a degree in Philology from the University of Barcelona since 1995.

My field of research focuses on educational inclusion and the design of pedagogical strategies that promote equal opportunities in personalised learning, with a particular focus on the development of inclusive education.

As a university lecturer, my academic life is full of research and teaching, but outside the campus, I am enthusiastic about sport and creativity. At weekends, I love to explore new hiking trails or play paddle tennis, combining it with Pilates in the University's own sports hall with other colleagues from different faculties. Creativity manifests itself in my love of writing, where I write stories inspired by the people I meet and the places I visit. I also love to participate in book clubs and writing workshops, where I can share ideas and discuss different literary perspectives. Once a month I participate in play therapy with other people at both the Hospital del Niño Jesús and the Hospital del Niño Jesús.

In short, reading, sport and creativity are the pillars that support my life outside the university, providing me with an essential balance and enriching my day-to-day life with new experiences and learning.
