About me

In 1996, I began my research career by combining what I had thought was my greatest passion (Biochemistry) with what I didn’t know would become a fascinating topic for me: how to obtain more and better information from a sample, that is, Chemical Analysis. Since then, I have been working continuously on the application of analytical and bioanalytical techniques (chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry) to research. And, since 2009, that research has been focused on metabolomics, the study of metabolism based on information from the small molecules that are part of the biochemical reactions of living organisms. But, moreover, I discovered something I had intuited: conveying what I have learned and participating in the learning of others, teaching, is at least as exciting as discovering new knowledge. "And I have had the fortune of combining both passions for more than 20 years.
