About me
Professor of Journalism at the Faculty of Humanities and Communication Sciences of the University San Pablo CEU. Principal Investigator of the AlgorLit Project, Principal Investigator of the ThinkOnMedia Consolidated Research Group and head of the Neurotechnology Laboratory applied to Communication, NeuroLabCom.
She is Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Social Communication of the International Doctoral School CEINDO and scientific editor of the Journal Doxa Comunicación.
She has participated continuously in competitive projects since 2004, being PI of three of them, two of them from the National Plan of R+D+I. The results of this research have been published in scientific journals and book chapters in publishers such as Tirant Lo Blanch, Routledge, Síntesis or Peter Lang, among others. These merits have been recognized with two sexenios of research by CNEAI.
Her research focuses on the uses, risks and opportunities of the Internet and social networks for young people and adolescents, media literacy and digital vulnerability. She develops a second line of study on political communication and public opinion, a subject for which she is a responsible professor.
Her postgraduate training includes the Master in Needs and Rights of Children and Adolescents (UAM, 2006), the University Expert in Design and Statistical Treatment of Market Studies (UNED, 2007) and the Master in Political Analysis (UOC, 2018).
In her free time she enjoys reading and watching TV series. Listening to the radio while going for a walk to keep fit and disconnect is also one of her daily activities. She loves photography, art and interior decoration.
