Patricia Oliva Pavón
About me
Dr. Patricia Oliva is a Distinguished Researcher at the University of Alcala (UAH) with 18 years of experience in the use of remote sensing data. She earned her PhD in Cartography, GIS, and Remote Sensing from UAH in 2010. She has worked at the University of Maryland (United States) and Universidad Mayor (Chile).
Currently, she leads a project to study the public health effects of high PM2.5 concentrations produced by wildfires. Additionally, she participates in the REMOTE project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, to study the response of vegetation to drought in conifer species on the Iberian Peninsula.
