About me

I am a predoctoral student in the Ecology and Forest Restoration group (FORECO) at the University of Alcalá. My thesis focuses on the causes and consequences of drought-associated decline phenomena in Iberian forests and how they affect ecosystem multifunctionality. To this end, I use inventory data, soil analysis, dendrochronology, remote sensing, and genetics, obtained both directly in the field and from various databases. Characterizing the response of forests to drought will allow us to find geographical patterns and create early warning systems to predict and try to mitigate these decline events.

Besides nature, my other passions are art, gastronomy, and traveling.
