Santiago Virseda Mayoral


About me

I graduated in Environmental Sciences and Geography and Territorial Planning from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and I got Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry with Environmental Chemistry and Analytics Methodologies specialist, from the Autonomous University of Madrid too. Currently, I work as a Research Assistant in the project “Plastic chemical ADDItive release from PLAstic debris and their mobility in Soil agroecosystems (AddiPlaS)”. My main duty is to collaborate in developing an analytic method for identifying and quantifying plastics additives, and support in the micronanoplastics analysis. Among my personal likes, I enjoy learning about science and environment, hiking, taking photography of landscapes, playing videogames and hanging out with my family and friends.
He currently works at IMDEA Agua as a Research Assistant in the project “Plastic chemical additive release from plastic debris and their mobility in soil agroecosystems (AddiPlaS)”, Grant PID2022-140011OB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by ERDF A way of making Europe.
