Ángela Castro María studied at the Polytechnic University of Madrid the degree in Materials Engineering and at the Complutense University of Madrid the Master in Biomaterials.
She works at IMDEA Materials doing her PhD in Biomedical Science and Technology, focusing on research into new materials for the fabrication of hydrogels simulating different tissues of the organism.
She is a researcher passionate about science with a strong background in biomedical science and technology. Her expertise in hydrogels and biomedical materials is complemented by her 19-year dedication to Spanish dance and her skills in sports, such as skiing and paddle tennis, and the handcrafted design of headdresses and flower compositions. Her multifaceted approach demonstrates an exceptional ability to balance science, art and creativity in her professional and personal life.
