The microbiological study of water helps to determine its quality and thus its possible uses, avoiding health risks. Students will be shown and explained how different microorganisms present in water are isolated and identified, mainly those microorganisms that are used as bioindicators of water quality and whose analysis is determined, depending on their use, in the different national regulations. In addition, examples of how we study the sensitivity of these microorganisms to antibiotics in the laboratory will be explained and shown.
