This activity will take the form of a one-hour visit to the IMDEA Food Institute, in which different workshops and interactive activities will be held to learn about the scope of Precision Nutrition for the conquest of cancer. A multidisciplinary team of researchers will present their latest work during the tour. Participants will have the opportunity to discover interesting questions such as why we do not all get fat in the same way, what is the relationship between the microbiota of each person and their propensity to obesity, and how different bioactive compounds can be used in complementary treatments for cancer patients or the benefits of fasting in cancer therapies. Learning about the practices developed in its molecular biology and nutritional genomics laboratories or the clinical trials carried out on cancer patients using computational biology techniques and artificial intelligence applications are just some of the opportunities offered by this visit to IMDEA Alimentación.
