The activity will be developed at a booth where we will explain the basics of Ecotoxicology and the effects of chemical pollution on aquatic life. We will also address the different tasks we do in our research group either field work or in our labs and mesocosmos facilities. In addition, we will show some of the aquatic plants and invertebrates we use in the ecotoxicity tests we carry out, which are also indicators of the water quality of rivers and lakes. During the activity, participants will have the opportunity to interact with the researchers of the ECOTOX group and ask questions. Furthermore, we will show to the audience how to sample plankton in our experimental lab microcosms at three different times: 18:30, 19:30 and 20:30 (previous registration is not needed).
