UC3M | Discover the future of plasma rockets to travel through space

How realistic are all those space engines that appear in Star Trek, Star Wars, The Expanse ...? What kinds of technologies currently allow us to move through space? In this workshop we will tell you what is true and what is science fiction, what technologies already exist today and which ones belong (still) to the world of cinema and novels. In the process, you will learn how a combustion rocket and a plasma rocket work. Finally, you will learn about the latest developments that we are addressing at the university in this interesting field, and you will be able to see and touch with your own hands materials from the plasma engines laboratory of the UC3M Space Propulsion and Plasma Team.
