Depopulation and population aging bring problems of deterioration of public services, disconnection and lack of resources. However, depopulated Spain is a territory that has many possibilities for the future within the framework of the digitalization of our economic system and the ecological transition. From its experience of social vocation based in the territory, UNED contributes to the development of the most depopulated areas of the interior, in what has been called "Empty Spain". During the conference, the different projects that the UNED is carrying out through its different chairs to address the challenge of sustainability and depopulation will be presented.
