I teach Pharmacognosy and Plant Physiology in the Faculty of Pharmacy. I dedicate my research to the search of new active ingredients with pharmacological activity from plants. Since I was a child, the laboratory and research world has been exciting and amazing to me. I consider myself a scientific "gossip" because I love knowing what happens and why things happen in the fields in which I research. The feeling of bringing the University closer to the world and real problems, even minimally, seems to me to be one of the most important aspects of research. Teaching, and research leave little free time in my life, but I love reading, going to the cinema and traveling. Those are my favourite hobbies. I unfortunately do little exercise. I like the pool and the beach, so when the good weather starts if I practice some swimming.
