An adequate degree of hydration is necessary for an optimal health. It is recommended to drink mainly water to achieve this goal. However, as part of the diet we consume other beverages that must be carefully selected to maintain an optimal health. Proper selection of these will reduce the risk of chronic diseases (obesity and diabetes) and facilitate recovery from diseases such as COVID-19. The WHO has recommended reducing the consumption of sugary drinks. In this workshop, we are going to teach you in an easy way, by reading the label and doing a very simple colorimetric reaction, to identify which are the healthiest drinks to incorporate into your diet and which ones to avoid.
